Failed attempts to cancel visit

Had an appt with Dr.Dong for surveillance follow up after successful surgery for colon cancer last Spring. Attempted multiple times to cancel. Received voice mail from office staff that they decided to keep the appt on the schedule.

Poor Service, uncaring company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a patient at the Vancouver Clinic for over 20 years. I'm moving away from them because they don't seem to care about their patients. It appears that they want to perform unnecessary surgeries in the new surgery center they've built. These surgeries could be conducted in the office without the use of anesthesia, etc. but they wouldn't get paid if they did this.

Today, we took my grandson to urgent care for a dislocated shoulder. They made us wait for over two hours while he was in pain. After that, they told us they couldn't help because the dislocation had been left unattended for too long. They told us that we needed to go to the emergency room.

Why couldn't they have told us that upfront? My grandson wouldn't have had to suffer if they had. They didn't inform us because then they couldn't have charged us for an unnecessary visit and collected their fee.

What a load of nonsense.

Please refrain from supporting the Vancouver Clinic since they don't seem to want to support us. They treated us like we were mere customers even though we were paying for their services. Anyone who pays for services is a customer.

Pros:
  • Have some nice providers
Cons:
  • Insurance fraud and lack of patient care

Preferred solution: Care about the patients and not just the money. Don't take advantage of insurance companies billing for services that could have been less expensive. We all pay through insurance rates when the insurance companies are taken advantage of.

User's recommendation: Stop using Vancouver Clinic until they care about their patients.

Resolved: That stupid *** verification log in

Updated by user Aug 24, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They removed whatever needed to be removed so I could just login on my private phone.

Original review Aug 05, 2024

In this day and age, your system should be able to log that this is the same device I use all the time to make my appointments, check my schedule, and look at my test results. So, tell me, why do I have to log in with that verification code all the time?

It's annoying and I will not ever use your system again as long as I have to use the verification code. Please do something about it. See if your system is smart enough to know that I'm using the same phone every time I do the verification or login.

That would be the easiest way. So, please stop this nonsense.

Preferred solution: The ability to stop the double verification. For Vancouver clinic to understand if someone has my phone they have everything they need for the double verification. So wasting my time with that feature is USELESS.

Resolved: Two verification login settings from Vancouver clinic

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I complained to pissed consumers.com because I noticed the clinic won't respond. So I found it easier to complain to someone outside of the clinic and sure enough they finally responded.

I really thank pissedconsumer.com for being there. The clinic came at me like it was a frustrating feature but NO it was a WASTE of my precious time.

Resolved: Billing and lack of customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user May 18, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. My insurance sided with me and my appeal. The claims were pulled from collections and reprocessed correctly according to my insurance policy.

Original review Apr 30, 2024
I Have left several messages with the complaint line and with the billing office since December 2023. I've been disputing a bill that should have been correctly rebilled and the provider did all of their work to make it happen.

Furthermore, I've done provider complaints. I've done provider escalations. I've spoken to billing 2 /3 times a month, constantly being told they will escalate it up. Nobody ever got back to me, but they just sent me to collections.

I'm disgusted with the billing department's lack of customer service and the complaints team never got back in touch with me. I have valid current commercial insurance. The lack of communication and professionalism is apparent and disgusting. The fact That they would send me to collections instead of fixing the bill.

And they refused, obviously to hold on to the bill while it was getting resolved. I also have an appeal with my insurance company and their coding department thinks they run everything.

I used to work in the complaints line for TVC. I am not surprised to hear you got no response back from them.

Sadly, this company is all about profit and not patient care. More people need to quit using them and perhaps then they might learn a lesson about customer service.

Resolved: Cancelled appointment

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jul 20, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Pathetic excuse for their lack of customer service that can continue to cause problems for customers. They do NOT care about the patients…all about the bottom dollar and not worrying about improving themselves!

Original review Jul 05, 2024

I show up for my appointment and find out they cancelled it. Apparently calling my at 6:38 am and leaving a message.

I pulled my phone out and showed them that my phone had not rang all day, which is pretty typical of it and there were NO voicemails from them either. Asked why a second attempt was not utilized, like another attempted call or a MyChart so an email alert was sent...fell on deaf ears!

Filed a complaint, but know darn well that it will hit DEAF ears! Looking for another provider...only use them for one test a year.

Pros:
  • Close to home
Cons:
  • Too many to list and looking at other options

Preferred solution: Implement a second reach out for clinic cancelled appointments because had I cancelled that late, within 24 hours I would have been charged a late cancellation fee.

User's recommendation: Find another caring and responsible healthcare provider group

Calling the Clinic

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

There must be a better way to return calls to the clinic...

6 months ago my Dr from Peacehealth sent over an order for a CT scan. I see the Dr on March 18th.

I have received no call from Van Clinic to schedule so I notified my Dr.

Her office called and they told her they thought the order was for the 19th or later..Someone screwed up.

So I have tried ALL damn day to get this taken care of and the only way I can reach the clinic is through the main line.

I called this morning, waited for someone to answer, then transferred to imaging..Had to leave a message. Said I would no be back until around 3pm. When I got home I had two message from the clinic, one at 12.18pm and another at 1.58pm. Both saying to call to schedule using that darn main number.

So I called this after noon, 40 minutes waiting for an answer, transferred again to imaging and again had to leave a message.

Tired of this..

When someone calls me from a specific dept they need to leave me a direct number. This ring around the rosey is not acceptable!

My Dr needs to know if I can keep the appoint that I've had for 6 months...

You guys need to do better!

Lack of care when I was having what I consider a serious problem w/BP

Checked my BP because I was having dizziness, neck pain & general confusion. BP was 183/112.

Called & told to go to ER where I sat for over 4 hours. Sent message to Cardiologist w/1 reply asking for BP which was lower but higher. Never heard back from her.

I am leaving

Vancouver Clinic. I am still having problems.

Appointment

I have tried for over a week to get an appointment for my dad to see a pulmonary provider and keep getting told different reasons why I can't get an appt. and he needs an Urgent visit.

First it was that there was no referral, but one was sent.

Then it was because it wasn't marked correctly as being an emergency. Then the referring provider called and they resent the referral and still nothing.

When I called today they told me that there needs to be a referral authorization but his insurance does not even require a referral.

Obviously a scam company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They bought the practice Ive been seeing for years, closed that practice and rejected my insurance plan. Im 65, they are obviously shedding older people, I guess we just need too much attention, so some genius with a spreadsheet designated older people as costly.

This should be illegal. PROFIT over people, thats a scam in my book.

That's why they built that newer building with Humana, put all of the older patients there and limit the majority with Medicare. Sadly, this "money" making, for profit clinic, had an extremely limited amount of spots for anyone of Medicare or Medicaid...they should also have to give back to their community like the other nonprofits do. They too can take tax breaks...but no...no community give back...just a hand out!

Fraudulent billing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This place is literally the worst clinic and *** billing department. I went in for a non-issue (leg pain) just to see my primary care physician. The people at the front desk told me to go to urgent care as that was faster and after validating my insurance that it would cost the same. Now at this point, I was repeatedly assured by the front desk and the urgent care desk, that given my insurance, it would entail a simple co-pay for seeing doctor. I called in insurance and they assured that as an in network primary care facility they should only charge me $30 copay. I see the doctor, which was whatever.

30 days on I get a bill saying that I have been seen by a specialist and that they are charging me $300 for that. I call them for hours days after, going back and forth between my insurance, the clinic, getting them on a call, talking to supervisors. ABSOLUTELY ***

They concede they code their visits to urgent care and office primary care physician the same and unknown to their patients their urgent care visits are coded such that insurance sees them as specialist visits. They are SCAMMY and give you the run around. They literally tire you out run you in circles and completely deny RESPONSIBILITY.

I have literally spent hours and hours with their billing department, I am literally not even exaggerating. And at that point, you are committing your mental peace, taking on stress, wasting your working hours and some point they are banking on you giving up. LIARS, SCAMMERS, I honestly wish I could sue these people. I just hope that the city government takes some action. I do not know what needs to be done to stop this robbery in broad daylight in the name of healthcare

Contact the State of Washington Insurance Commissioner. They are NOTORIOUS for having specialist in the urgent care and the patients have NO idea which one's are specialist and which one's are not.

Never ever trust what their PSR's tell you up front...they do not know JACK!

You can always file a complaint with their complaint department...but you won't hear back. Until people start taking action against TVC, they will continue in this capacity.

My wife is a patient. I am completely, 100% dissatisfied with them!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They will not consolidate issues into one appointment; you have to come back and spend copay after copay, as well as take time off of work every time. They are impossible to get a referral to a specialist outside of their corporation.

They are nothing but a moneymaking machine!!!do not go ther

Appointment cancelled as I waited in clinic

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

DI was in clinic 5 min after my appointment time and I checked in at the desk. I was told to sit down to wait.

After 20 min waiting, I asked the desk about the wait and was told I was late and my appointment because I was just checking in and the appointment was cancelled.

I told the lady at the desk that I had been there since 10:05 and she said if I wanted to argue It would make no difference. I felt it was intentional just to not see me and claim payment for a missed appointment that was not missed.
